Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is a very specific type of marketing on search engines — paid search. For this, it uses Google Ads, one of the most used paid search tools.

How is SEM different from SEO?

The difference between SEM and SEO is that SEM primarily uses paid search advertising whereas SEO is more focused on organic traffic.

Is SEO necessary for businesses that use SEM?

The answer to this common question is: Yes! A part of SEO makes sure that your site is fast and user-friendly, which is required for SEM too. If your website isn’t, then you’ll end up wasting money on that click. Once you have your organic traffic sorted, you can expand your reach with other keywords via SEM.

How does SEM benefit your business?

What digital marketing platforms and software do you know?

I have a fluency in SEO, SEM, Google Ads, and SEO Audit related programs. For content marketing, I use Ahrefs for keyword research and WordPress for content management and publishing. I am also certified in paid search platforms like Digital Marketing and Google Ads.

Do you think inbound or outbound marketing is more effective?

In my experience, inbound and outbound marketing are essential complements of each other. Inbound strategies like Social Media and blogs are needed to interest customers on their terms.Outbound strategies like Email Marketing and Paid Search Ads are required to attract clients directly. Together, these two aspects can form a well-rounded Digital Marketing strategy.

Can you describe one of your most Successful Campaigns?

I have worked with the Financial Planning Academy (FPA) to build each stage of the funnel, recruited an experienced team to create each aspect, and managed every part of the project. As a result, the revenue goal exceeded by 150%, which caused the client to hire my company for its next digital marketing projects.

How do you know when a Campaign is not Successful?

While working on a campaign, I was able to achieve only 50% of its brand awareness goal, which I attributed to the budget being too small and the goals being too high. While leading this project, I learned how to be more realistic while setting goals and proactive whiletrying to fix campaigns that are not performing as expected.
